ugly knedlíky

Hi guys,

I tried to make Czech dumplings the other night.

Most of the tutorials I saw online (tiktok, insta, google websites) were the same but were in Czech. I found a German girl making it and I used that because I could atleast understand the recipe.

The inside consistency was fine, like the otherknedlíky I had tried in the Czech Republic. But the outside was like damp and mushy.

Did I leave it in the water too long or was that a result of it not being in long enough ?

Sorry if this is not enough information if there are any cooks here, I can answer anything lacking from this post but I really want to know what I did wrong ☹️ wasted a lot of the dumplings because of the pieces on the outside that was like that. Unfortunately I have no pictures but I’m hoping this is a specific enough of an issue that maybe someone here could give advice, I am really disappointed in myself 🥲 any pointers would be really really appreciated
