Hello, I'm trying to get my M91 all set up for reenacting and I had a question about the cleaning rod. The rod (29.5 inches) in these pictures came with the rifle but it obviously does not fit and previous attempts to force it to do so has carved a channel in the stock. I have found a source for 26 inch cleaning rods but based on my measurements that would bring the rear threads in line with the cut out for the rear sight ring. I'm probably going to get one of those anyways but I just wanted to see if anyone knows what's going on and if the 26 inch rod is correct. 1897 Terni with Tubata marking in case anyone is curious.
