I’ve just finished my first play through and i’m on my second. I know when you get the sacred sword, you should save the game before you purify the sword so then you can also reload, not purify it and get ending 3 as well. How does the saves work with the true ending?

I know you only need at least 2 full endings but say I finished both the 1st and 2nd, do I need to do a completely new game from the beginning to achieve the 4th ending? I’m a bit lost on how I should save the game so I don’t lose any progress to get all the endings (at some point).

Do you also need to start a new game file for the UFO ending too?
