#125: Jurassic Park: The Game

#125: Jurassic Park: The Game

I've wanted to play through this one ever since I learned of its existence, and I recently managed to get a Steam key for it, so I decided, "Why not 100% it?" Overall, it's not exceptional, but for what it is, it's enjoyable. There are a few minor gripes I have, such as the controller support not functioning, forcing me to play through a game made entirely of QTEs in order to finish it off. Thankfully, the achievement list isn't too hard, and you can easily knock it out in a couple of sessions. If you can get your hands on a key, I'd say it's worth it.

#124: Lego Voyagers

A simple little puzzle game that isn't too intensive or unique compared to similar games, but still a fun time with a friend. It's especially interesting to consider these devs made Stray as well, a game I definitely need to go back and finish. Get this game on sale if you can.

#122 and #123: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Moved In

First thing's first, Black Ops 2. This was... something, I guess? While I did play the game a lot on PS3, that was primarily multiplayer and zombies, but not so much the campaign. Turns out, I wasn't missing much. While the game isn't terrible, I did not enjoy the pacing, and the future missions were largely unenjoyable for me, barring Odysseus, which was my favorite mission in the entire game. I think this might have been the start of the decline in campaign quality for CoD games going forward.

Veteran was shockingly easy, only being marginally harder than Ghosts, even though I limited myself to the default level loadouts. This may also partially be because I chose to do all 160 mission challenges BEFORE doing my Veteran run, a decision I have very much come to regret. The two standout difficult challenges were the grenade dive on Pyrrhic Victory and beating Suffer With Me deathless (that gunship jump sucks sometimes).

As for Moved In, this was a short horror game made by a friend of a friend that I unknowingly bought. It's not bad for a first game, even if it is a bit simplistic. I think the guy has potential at making some more atmospheric titles later on down the road, if he continues to improve.
