When to transplant to soil?

Hello people of r/propagation! I cut this piece off my larger pothos plant some time ago (maybe like fourish weeks?) and it has since started sprouting some roots! I, however, am not sure what signs to look for in terms of when to know it’s ready/strong enough to transplant into soil with the larger pothos plant. Additionally, are there any signs to look out for to know if it’s been in the water for too long and will no longer survive in soil?

For reference, the longest roots are currently about 4-6 inches long

Any help y’all can offer would be immensely appreciated. Thank you in advance!
