-Quick summary: Dies fast, feels very cheap, needs advice and better recommendations.

Price range: preferably $1500 max and under.

Preference: Hp (not interested in a MacBook)

I recently bought this laptop on the 1st of May. (Shown in picture)

I originally wanted the ( “HP - OmniBook 3 - Copilot+ PC -15.6" Full HD Touch-Screen Laptop- AMD Ryzen 5 AI 5 330 2025 -16GB Memory - 512GB SSD -Glacier Silver” ) But they basically discontinued it even though they kept it advertised.

The worker in the tech department (Best Buy) where the laptops were said that this one was the most comparable to the previous one I wanted. I used it today for about an hour and a half before class and the battery already was at 50% when I was done. I wasn’t ecstatic when getting this one but I wanted to just get what I thought was good and move on.

My biggest complaints are the battery life and the quality. Honestly the quality feels disappointingly cheap, Im not the biggest fan of dell and honestly didn’t want a dell but again I just wanted a laptop for college. The fact that it feels so cheap is annoying because why am I feeling like Im using some plastic toy. Then the battery life is just not it.

Im gonna be majoring in health Science and battery life is extremely important because Im mainly writing papers and doing research so I cant afford to get 5 hours of battery life out of the 11 hours advertised. I know laptops are never accurate to their battery life but this is just too far off.

I want some advice on what you guys think. Im not an expert in specs but I was confident that it was a decently good laptop, which it is but then it’s not. It had the main things I wanted, touchscreen, wireless blue-tooth, number pad, and “11hr battery life”. But I honestly don’t think I really like it and would rather return and/or replace it.

If I could get some recommendations on some better laptops that contain the same features but is of better quality, value, and reliability than Id appreciate it. Maybe Im missing the goods about it but idk man.

Price wise Im not too specific on, I would rather not go above like 1500 max because my grandfather is who’s buying it for me with the 12 month payment plan and I don’t wanna be greedy. Id honestly prefer an hp because I have always favored that brand. (Not interested in a MacBook.)
