Yes… we’re both enchanted by this book

This book had me smiling, raising an eyebrow (in fun way), and doing both at the same time. It’s a cat lover’s delight, though not in the traditional sense of a novel. Instead, it’s a series of musings on cats that are not literally true, but poetically true. Does it make sense!

If you are a cat parent, or someone who has ever had the pleasure of interacting with a cat, or simply someone who appreciates the unique charm and companionship that these feline friends bring into our lives then you are in for a delightful experience. This book is specifically crafted for you, offering insights, stories, and tips that will deepen your understanding and enjoyment of the wonderful world of cats. Whether you are a seasoned cat owner or just beginning your journey with these captivating creatures, this book promises to be an engaging and enriching read.

I love tales about the enchanting impact cats can have on our lives, but most of the stories I encounter are from Japanese authors and folklore, so I was fascinated to read one initially penned in Chinese - and it was executed with superb translation.
What a great find, sorry, i shouldn’t be bragging but it’s delightful.

I loveeddd this book so much!!

I finished rereading this book for the second time, and I loved it just as much. I devoured this book in 5 sittings, utterly captivated by its characters. It’s a surprisingly wholesome read that fills me with warm, fuzzy feelings. It’s simply the best! I was so emotional after reading this book that I couldn’t write a review, but I can go on and on about how amazing it is (even after second read).

I absolutely adored this story. I am one of the few people left on the planet who hasn't read, The Martian yet and after reading this, I'm disappointed in myself. This was incredibly well-written; fast-paced, clever and hilarious. I loved Grace's character so much. His analytical, yet humorous nature, truly made this story shine. This is not some super deep, philosophical book. It uses a lot of familiar sci-fi ideas: end-of-the-world survival, space travel, first contact, alien exploration, all that good stuff. But Weir's detailed, hard sci-fi style combined with his awesome sense of humor makes these clichés feel fresh and exciting. I couldn't put it down.

I can completely understand why this story has been adapted into a movie. It offers a delightful mix of humour that keeps the audience entertained, thrilling experiences that keep viewers on the edge of their seats, and moments of empathy that resonate deeply with the heart. Additionally, it incorporates elements of science and knowledge that add an intellectual layer to the narrative, making it both engaging and thought-provoking. I am eagerly anticipating the next two days, as I am excited to experience this captivating film once again but this time in theatre (going with no expectation, all I want to see is : Rocky).

Good lord, I’m feeling a whirlwind of emotions right now! It’s been ages since I’ve read something so captivating that I can’t wait to dive back into it again for the third time.

Easy 5 stars with jazz hands with a fist bump.
