I had my eldest continue to attend daycare after I went on maternity leave with my second. This was both to support in more Focussed care for my infant but also as you guys know once you give up your spot in daycare it’s gone.

While I think I’m understanding that you can claim if you need to hold the spot so you can return to work, my eldest moved out of daycare and into kindergarten last fall. Being off I didn’t push for before / afterschool care but I did keep her in daycare full time until she started school.

Would this mean I am not eligible given that I am

No longer saving her place?

Does it make any difference that I made T4 income

Last year as top up. Could I claim for the period i was receiving top up?
