New BuzzBox

New BuzzBox

Thanks to everyone in here who answered questions I had pre purchase. Drove out of state to pick this up today. 1st edition, RWD. Took it through some windy mountain roads on the way home and it handled great! The turn radius is amazing for a car this size.

For anyone it might be helpful for who is in the market: MSRP was $67.4k, dealer listed for $55.4k, negotiated down to $48k, after tax and fees was $49.7k out the door. They did include the wrong NACS adapter (see previous post) and forgot to give me my 3 year Electrify America code, so still have to sort those things out.

On the trip back used 57% of my battery for 156 miles through the mountains which seemed almost unbelievably good?

I do have a few questions. The helicopter effect when the windows were open was horrible. We tried different combos of open windows and none seemed to solve it entirely. Any tips on managing this?

Also any tricks for getting the roof bars not to whistle? I may just uninstall them for now.

I am planning to buy the weathertech mats and maybe add a tint. Getting an Exped mattress for camping in the back (going to attempt a 52" width and see how it goes). Any other tips and tricks or accessories anyone would recommend? I'd like to get a seat back protector for when the 3rd row is down but I don't like the VW one as it just uses velcro to attach and covers up the pull straps but I don't see many other options.

Still need to buy and install a Level 2 charger. Leaning towards the Emporia unless anyone has a better rec.

Would like to add a dash cam as well and leaning towards the FitCamX one for the integrated look.

Thanks again!

Lectron Adapter from dealership?

The dealer sold me a buzz and included this adapter (the sticker says CCS1 to Tesla adapter) but looking online it looks very different from the official VW one. Anyone else have/use this with the Tesla superchargers?

Thought these were interesting when I first saw them advertised but didn't really consider due to the price point and no kids. Now Ive got a daughter on the way this summer and looking around for bigger cars. We have two 50 pound dogs as well that usually take up a whole row. I randomly found a Buzz for < 40k and now considering. Unfortunately I don't have a garage or an outlet near the driveway. Is it worth it to have a charger installed for this car?

And for dog owners, how do you like it as a dog hauler?

Anything else I should look out for when deciding to purchase? This one has the middle row instead of captains chairs which isnt ideal but it's 10k cheaper than any others near me. Thanks!
