Shock spring tightening direction?

Ok, I was wondering if the shocks both tighten and loosen the same way. Or do they go in opposite ways because they are on opposite sides? Like, on the left, I turn my spanner right to loosen it. Do I turn it right on the right side as well, or is it flipped because the shock is?

This could be just a brain fart but I don’t want uneven shocks. I’ve never done this.

Just bought a 2026 Touring Manual. Here are my thoughts on day one!

First of all, this bike is awesome. I am coming from a 800cc classic cruiser, a bigger one. So the differnence for me is: Seat height, Rebel sits highe, Rebel is more top heavy, but I think im just stiff at the moment. This new bike is an unknown beast and I'm not comfortable just yet as I just got it. I love everything...but what I don't love are;

the foot pegs, they vibrate like crazy. I also am not so crazy about how easy it is for my foot to rest on the rear brake. Any suggestions on new foot peg styles?

the grips and bars. They're so tiny to me! I think i might get some grip puppies, because they also carry some vibration. The bars are also quite small bars. I was putting my phone mount on and found myself not able to put on a cup holder. Really bummed about that. Not sure about a work around. When it comes to the seating position, I can see why some people use risers. I might add some down the road, but for now, its fine as is.

the seat. I've already got a new one on the way. My sciatica is throwing a fit right now, and so is my hip.

the shocks. I think if I make it so its a bit more "squishy" my problem would be solved. If not, burly stilettos.

no crash bar. This kills me, im so scared ill drop this bike and scrape up everything. Im especially nervous about screwing up the shifters. Done it on an old bike and its not fun. I tried to purchase a cheaper one, and it didnt even fit this model. its so new i guess the cheapo guards havent come out? If anyone knows any, let me know. I know I could go expensive, but its not a choice right now.

I want to talk about the touring part for a second. first of all. the wind screen is useless im tucking like im racing in the isle of man and even then, the wind just goes through my helmet...I feel a little bit scammed in this department as its the reason i got the touring version!....I am looking for replacements. But I liked the star fish look so much. Maybe I am just to tall? I'm only 5'3"! The saddle bags are okay. Could be better, but they do for now.

My plans are to improve or replace anything above and also add a sissy bar and cargo rack. I plan on traveling a bit!

It's just a lot to upgrade right out of the gate. I know honda cut corners but man...im dropping some serious cash. This might just be japan's 883 with all the custom work. Haha.
