Future new user
Hello everyone, I have been thinking about switching to GrapheneOS for some time, especially since I saw Pewdiepie using it. My current daily driver is an iPhone 16 pro max and I do plan on using it for some more time before giving GOS a shot.
I will try to keep this short. Basically, I am sick and tired of Apple's limitations. They think they know what's best for their users and I hate it. I realized Android would much better suit my needs. But the biggest problem with it is Google spying on you. So after some digging, GOS should be the perfect solution - I get more privacy and security than on an iPhone but I also get the freedom of every other Android. Hell, even more freedom since the GOS team won't comply with Google's developer verification as far as I've heard.
So the question I have is: How did actually using this os feel like compared to the expectations you had before trying it? Do you think someone such as myself would enjoy it? A person that values privacy and freedom? I have switched to Linux Mint from Windows a little less than a year ago on my laptop, so in my head GOS is the Linux equivalent in the mobile world. Correct me if I'm wrong, and I also hope this is the right sub for this question
