Kaiser stopped my Ozempic

I apologize if this post is against the rules, but I really need to vent right now. I have been on Ozempic for almost a year now due to Type 2 diabetes. I have NEVER had to pay for this medication before. Not a dime. 0 DOLLARS. My doctor recently decided to increase my dosage to the maximum amount. I went to pick it up and I’m hit with a $1,950 bill. No problem, this has happened many times before. I’ll just talk to the pharmacy and have it corrected. They tell me that my insurance is no longer covering it. WTF? I call my insurance and they tell me “oh I see you have a preexisting condition, but your BMI is too low and you have a $10,000 deductible so you have to pay the full cost.” What the HELL?!?! Mind you, my deductible has never been a problem before, I’ve just always gotten the medicine for free. Has anyone else ever been screwed over like this? Now I have to find an alternative medication that is covered or quit this medication cold turkey. The entire time I was talking to insurance, they were like “oh, you can’t pay out of pocket?” like OBVIOUSLY IF I HAD THE MONEY, I WOULD JUST PAY FOR IT BUT WHO HAS AN EXTRA $2K EVERY THREE MONTHS FOR THIS SHIT?! I swear insurance is a freaking scam.
