Drake is genius
I think the 3 Drake albums are basically split into 3 different personas.
Drake knew one 40+ track album would feel bloated, so instead he separated the sounds:
Maid of Honour = the summer/dance album. Very melodic, replay-heavy, club and vacation type music. Feels like a more polished version of Honestly, Nevermind.
Habibti = the emotional autotune R&B album. Late night vibes, toxic relationship bars, singing Drake.
Iceman = the rap album. Cold delivery, bars, less melodies. This feels like the project where he’s trying to remind everyone he can still really rap after the Kendrick Lamar beef.
Honestly this is smarter than dropping one overloaded album with every genre mixed together. Each fanbase gets the version of Drake they actually want.
