I'm working on something for young entrepreneurs, an app where you can actually connect with other builders your age, share what you're working on, and grow together using real tools built for it.

Think: a feed to post your progress, tools to collaborate, and a community that actually gets the grind and loves to work together!

I posted here a few weeks ago about an app I’m building called YouthLink - got a mix of really helpful feedback (and some fair criticism too), so I wanted to share an update.

I’ve made a lot of progress since then (there’s a short video showing the current state of the app).

The main idea is still the same: a platform for young entrepreneurs (roughly 12–26) to connect, but I’ve been focusing a lot more on actual usefulness, not just “another social network”.

Some of the things I’ve been working on:

• Group chats & communities: so people can actually collaborate, not just connect
• Simplified profiles: more focused on skills, ideas, and projects instead of “perfect resumes”
• Networking tools: making it easier to find people with similar goals or projects
• Separate youth/adult structure: to keep things safe but still allow mentorship

The goal isn’t to copy any other app, but to make something that feels more accessible and real for younger people starting out.

I’m also trying to avoid the problem where platforms look good but don’t actually help you do anything. So the focus is more on:
- finding people to build with
- sharing ideas
- actually starting small projects together

• Would you actually use something like this?
• What’s missing from platforms like LinkedIn/Reddit/Discord for you?
• What would make this genuinely useful (not just another app)?
