Here in Denmark we have a supposedly DIY speaker guru called Troels Graversen. I must say his entire house is filled with speakers and components. And he does have the experience. Bought a pair of bookshelves from him and they sounded amazing.

But in an article of his he mentions that one cannot simply calculate a crossover by just knowing case volume and ports and drivers. Because like he says you need some special listening equipment with a microphone because the front of the speaker as in distance from the different drivers and also the size of the front and so on.
Is this true or is this just for high end builders. I just assume normal people like me couldnt tell the difference.

I have 2 old Dynaudio 15 W-75 8 ohm drivers and a Dynaudio tweeter. But i dont know how big the box should be or where to calculate it. Also it would be ideal if it also could calculate the stats on the crossover components. I have a hard time figuring out how to use some of the online tools. I can only figure out how to add one driver in these online tools like speakerboxlite.com
I scrapped the drivers from my old bookshelf speakers and my current center is a cheap not so good sounding Dali. These Dynaudio drivers will do a much better job im sure.
