Neighbor was charged for with murdering missing SFU professor...

I have (had?) a Persian neighbor a few houses down and she was always nice to me - her boyfriend, a white guy, really liked my dog. She warned me about a bear in the area once. I had only spoken to her a handful of times, I didn't know her name.

In 2022, someone had spray painted her car with the word PARASTOO on it in Farsi and also English. I always thought Parastoo was a girl's name (means 'swallow', the bird), so I asked my family, and they let me know it's also used as a derogatory word for women who are used as honey traps/spies by the IRGC.

Fast forward a month or two ago, there's an article about a missing SFU professor (who was no longer teaching).

I went down the rabbit hole and it is wild. I don't want to butcher the details so I suggest you read about what this guy was alleging and why he was at odds with lots of communities/courts, if you didn't already know.

A month after that in March there's an RCMP update to the case. It says a North Vancouver woman was arrested along with a man from Maple Ridge, both charged with murdering the ex professor. Apparently, the victim had made lots of accusations about the two being a spies for the IRGC. I remember thinking 'damn that's crazy'.

Later, I'm going about my day and I suddenly remember that a week before the second article, my other neighbor had asked me if I had seen "all the cop cars" on our little block. He sent me photos and said it seemed like a drug bust or something, they brought in big cop cars that opened from the top.

I think that's obviously just unrelated and a coincidence. But then I think about her damn spray painted car from years ago. I feel kind of unsettled and look up another article and that one had a photo of my fucking neighbor in it.

Anyway, how's everyone doing.

Edit: GODDAMMIT I can't believe I made a typo in the title meanwhile my stupid ass read through the body of the post like eight times.

Edit 2: Just want to be very clear, I am not alleging anything myself, this is all just relaying events that are currently news stories, except for the car vandalism I saw. I don't know who did that to her car. I don't know anything about her, she was never suspicious or strange to me. She's obviously innocent until they can prove her guilty in a court of law. Also sorry, I dont really feel comfortable saying exact street locations...🫠

My SIM card is having huge issues since yesterday with my cell service/mobile network. Koodo assistance was not much of a help, they told me to go to the store. I don't have a Telus account (just Koodo) so I can't report an outage online, either. I went to the Telus/Koodo store, and the guy told me I'm the third customer to come in today about this.

Basically the second I drove out of my home zone, it was connecting suddenly to mobile towers/working fine. But now that I'm home, it's back to blackout.

It sucks because I haven't had any issues with them in basically a decade. I know this is a long shot, but is anyone here having a similar issue?
