Georgia - South Ossetia border at Ergneti
Not an actual border given it’s Georgian territory occupied by Russia but cool nonetheless.

Not an actual border given it’s Georgian territory occupied by Russia but cool nonetheless.
Recently visited Georgia and while travelling around I went to the Inguri bridge crossing out of interest despite knowing I wouldn’t be able to get into Abkhazia as a foreigner. Many people may think I’m strange but I wanted to see it and get as close as possible; I have a fascination with border politics.
I didn’t want to take any pictures at the border crossing because it was so busy and I didn’t want to piss off the police. However I did venture a bit further down the Inguri river and found a spot near the village of Darcheli which enabled me to look over the border into Abkhazia. Here’s some pictures I took when I was there.
