Last night I noticed a latency spike so I decided to mess around with my unifi gear and quantum gear.

Before my q1000k showed a blue service light and I was tagging vlan 201 in my unifi settings

I decided to do a reset on the q1000K. This time however I set it to untag, apply, transparent, apply, lost access to the portal and got a white light

Now I don't need to tag vlan 201...

Is this the ideal configuration? Unsure if this is related to the ping spike but now I'm gaslighting myself and I'm unsure if I initially had it set up properly or if this is the right setup?

EDIT:

Found it. ran a trace route Colorado > lumen backbone > phoenix > Google

My last saved trace route was Colorado > Lumen backbone > Denver > Google

I bet they are routing my area to avoid a network issue

And when I reset my q1000k I got a firmware update. There's no need to tag vlan 201 in my router now and white led is expected
