Are 200 size helis harder to fly 3D?

It’s been over 15 years but I’m highly considering picking up the RC hobby again. I used to fly planes as a 10 year old and had a boatload of hours in the sim flying anything from jets to 3D helicopters.

In the search for a new outdoor hobby, thought I’d give 3D helicopters a real shot this time. I’m about 20 hours deep in Heli-X and feeling pretty comfortable again. Had to relearn all muscle memory ofcourse but I’m at a point where I’m doing a couple basic 3D maneuvres like hurricanes, funnels, tic tocs… in all orientations and some others I don’t even know the names of.

When it comes to buying a real first heli, everyone seems to recommend starting with a 200 size. I was wondering if they’re as hard and twitchy to fly IRL as they are in the sim? The smaller helis need very precise collective control because of the higher rotor RPM I’m guessing. A 700 class on bank 1 seems so much easier and more relaxed to fly. Wondering if it’s not easier to buy a bigger heli first? I prefer a low RPM flying style right now and all I see these M2/S2’s do in videos is either beginner flying or hardcore smack stuff. Can you fly these on lower RPM’s while still having enough lift for the fun but relaxed stuff?
