Bought a new house and the grass is well not great! Full of stickers! Full of runners! It’s starting to get hot so just mowed low to get the bulk of stickers but know I am hurting grass growth. Do I need to power rake it and aerate it with weed and feed? Know there’s not much I can do besides water and cut this summer but suggestions for now to set up better management in the fall. The bare area was a flowerbed that they used chewed up tires as mulch and as much as I’ve tried to get it all up I still find pieces as pictured. Yes this is new to me so talk like it to me. I don’t mind doing the research but need to know what areas to start. Soil samples will be obtained soon.
