Can I skip the flower decarb and put it directly in oil?

Method: preheat oil 120°c, add flower, 30 mins, lower temp to 100°c, 30 mins.

I've looked around and most recipes call for decarbed flowers separately.

Would this work?

I see most oil recipes call for growers decarbed at 120°c for 30 mins and then double boiler at 90-100°c for 1h or so.

Is there any reason why you can't decarb in the oil directly?

I mean: heat up oil to 120°c, add ground flower, 30mins, turn down the heat to 100°c, 30 mins.
