This clip sums up my experience since returning to this game. It is borderline unplayable due to these fucking latency issues

Is there any fit for the infuriating latency issues?

I've been enjoying returning to this masterpiece but holy shit, I want to tear my hair out due to how bad the ping and network is. Is there any possible fix I can do or is the game just ruined for me?

It doesn't matter what time of day I play, what I have on my computer running in the background, etc. Other games' online works completely fine.
