My latest piece, a cast drawing completed over 20 hours

This was my first class using a cast and drawing from life using charcoal, my previous work has been with Bargue drawings. I learnt so much from my teacher and it was extremely hard but so rewarding.

Anyone with myasthenia gravis needing support?

I thought I’d put the word out that the MG Qld group have in person casual meetups every month at a couple of different locations. I went to one and it was really handy to talk about good GPs, travel, new treatments etc. They are very geared towards Facebook which is good at reaching a certain demographic but may not reach younger people.

For awareness, MG is a rare autoimmune disease affecting voluntary muscles and varies a lot between patients. I have eyelid issues, double and blurred vision, breathing and general weakness mostly but other people may have trouble swallowing and their breathing gets so bad they need to be ventilated. BUT many people respond to treatment or their symptoms subside when resting so you may seem normal most of the time, which makes it hard to get support, diagnosis and treatment.

I’m on a diagnosis journey now which has taken four years, and isn’t finished so I don’t know all the answers but I do know the info and helpline has been helpful so wanted to share in case it helps anyone else.

I'm on the hunt for the best sandwich on the coast. We have some great toasties but I want to bring back enthusiasm for a good fresh roll or focaccia.

Very interested in a hand made sandwich made to order.

I know this sounds like I'm making something but I'm just an eating enthusiast and want to encourage more of my interests up here.
