Ibiza wedding guest
(Obviously both dresses will be steamed)
Hello - hoping for some desperately needed help. I’ve never been to a wedding before and my brother is getting married in Ibiza in a couple of weeks. I was going to keep it vague and say ‘destination wedding’ but maybe Ibiza is important. The wedding is also afternoon into the early morning.
I initially bought the yellow dress prior to there being a dress code. The dress code has been confirmed as ‘summer formal’. My mum had said it’s over dressed and doesn’t fit me well.
This led me to buy dress number 2. I think it fits nicely (although the back is slightly loose) however my concern with this is the mixture of the fabric/pattern/cut make it not formal although it does feel suitable for Ibiza? My mums logic is that I’ll be able to wear it again however that makes me think it’d be under dressed.
It’s a 3 day event with an evening meet and greet type dinner the night before with a dress code of smart casual so I feel like I could still wear the second dress then?
Please help - I don’t want to be over or under dressed and I have no idea what anyone else is wearing other than that the bridesmaids are in pink (so that rules pink out).
