PLEASE HELP !!!!

I just finished my Class 12 board exams and ended up with a 63.2%. My goal is to get into a top IIM (A/B/C) or Tier-1 MBA institute, but I know how heavily they weigh past academics (10th and 12th marks).

Because of my low score, I was seriously considering taking the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) exam to improve my percentage. However, I’ve heard conflicting things online like how nios will be looked down by employers during placements ,

I want to know that:

  1. Does NIOS actually hurt your chances at IIMs if you use it for score improvement?
  2. Is it worth improving 12th, or should I just accept the 63.2% and focus on getting a good CGPA (80%+) in my undergraduate degree?
  3. Which Tier-1 colleges (like IIM Calcutta or FMS Delhi) are still realistic for someone with a 63% in 12th if I manage to absolutely smash the CAT exam (99.8+ percentile) down the line?
  4. does nios affect in getting placement

NOTE: my plane is to take a course like bvoc and study class 12 portions alongside the bvoc
