The two upper lobes of the shield frond started becoming more even over the past few days.

I’m happy with how he looks right now.

By May 2023, it had grown even larger and started spreading in every direction.
The roots had also become incredibly dense.

By April 2023, it had grown even taller and fuller.

At this stage, I was using grow lights to help support its indoor growth.

And yes — this was actually a small corner of the toilet room.

Even their bases can look surprisingly similar —

if I didn’t grow both, I might hesitate to tell which one is the real tree fern.
