128/300 A Botanical Daughter by Noah Medlock

I didn't like this book that much! It reminded me a little of Hazelthorn by C.G. Drews! I think this is considered a Frankenstein retelling and I really liked the premise but it was just too slow...I kept waiting for it to pick up but I didn't actually start enjoying it until the last like 15-20%. I watched some reviews of it afterwards and I completely understand why some people loved it so I guess this just wasn't for me and that's okay! I'm still glad I read it!

My favorite books of April!

7 read on Kindle and 3 audiobooks from NetGalley!

First-Time Caller by B.K. Borison - This was so sweet and cozy! I loved the banter & chemistry between the 2 MCs.

🎧The Anniversary by Alex Finlay - This was very fast paced and twisty! I could not stop listening! I loved how every single theory I had was wrong haha...

Hatchet by Gary Paulsen - Probably my biggest surprise this month! I didn't expect to love this as much as I did!

Dear Debbie by Freida McFadden - Very entertaining! And very hard to put down!

The Bookshop on the Corner by Jenny Colgan - Super freaking cozy! I love books about books and books with small towns!

The Love Songs of W.E.B. Du Bois by Honoree Fanonne Jeffers - Very emotional and beautifully written! I've been thinking about this all month!

🎧The Shippers by Katherine Center - Super funny! I loved the characters and their interactions! Very easy and enjoyable!

A House with Good Bones by T. Kingfisher - Creepy but also weirdly funny at times! Did not expect to laugh so much during this. I loved it!

🎧The Book Club Murders by Maggie Allswell - A fun, cozy mystery with a really fun cast of characters. Very easy to follow and just a good time all around!

The Book of Unknown Americans by Cristina Henriquez - Very heartfelt and I loved the multiple perspectives!

I had to buy this twice because my sister's dogs decided it would be a fun chew toy! BUT! I really like this! I was expecting it to be unscented but it does have a sliiiightly fruity scent but it doesn't last long and that was fine with me because I was looking for something specifically unscented! I like how it feels on the lips...not sticky and the perfect consistency (not too thick or too thin feeling). I also don't have to reapply this for a really long time! I think this might work really well as an overnight lippie!

This is one of my moooost favorite lip products! It's pretty thick, not sticky, and I rarely have to reapply. There is no color or scent but it is extremely glossy. This is also one of the few lippies I own that I feel like doesn't make my lips MORE dry. I think this will be a forever repurchase for me as long as this company still makes it! Also, the regular tubes don't look like this. This is just from their Squid Game collab!

Today's lippie! I was not expecting much from this because it was so cheap but I LOVE it. I love how it feels on the lips, I love the scent and I love the packaging! I honestly only got it because of the packaging 😂... I hope they come out with more flavors/scents that aren't fruity! I need to get the mint one asap!

Today's lippie! I was expecting the formula for these to be way thicker! I loooove this scent, though! I need to get more flavors! Also, ignore the bite marks. My sister's dog chewed a hole through my makeup bag and started chewing on my products. Luckily it didn't get punctured... 😂
