Not much else to say. Iwai, in his FIRST EVER FIGHT outside Japanese soil beat Uzbek # 1 Asilbek Jalilov like he was NOTHING despite the huge gap in experience. Till he met our lil tiger Vishva! I been telling you guys he’s a future undisputed world champ and now the champ of Asia!!!!

6 Indian men’s team boxers guaranteed at least bronze at Asian Championships. (From left to right top row and bottom row) Harsh Chaudhary, Narender Berwal, Sachin Siwach, Lokesh, Akash, and Vishvanath Suresh

Super proud of the team honestly and truly. All of them have come such a long way from how they started the year I hope all of them win gold. But we will see. If not, we will still probably see them at the world boxing cup next month hopefully 🤞🏾

Vishvanath Suresh knocks down Kazakhstan #1 ranked 2025 world champ Sanzhar Tashkenbay and wins 5:0 by Unanimous decision, advancing to the semifinals of Asian boxing championships

Vishvanath is the REAL DEAL. All real Indian boxing fans need to follow him cause his style is poetry in motion and his skill is undeniable. He lost to Sanzhar once back in 2021 in a competitive match and what a STATEMENT he made tonight avenging that loss!!! Constant calculated pressure, volume and lightning speed with steady, sure feet earned him this victory

If anyone keeps up with the amateur circuits, Sanzhar is a notorious “golden boy” boxer who gets absurd referee and judge bias in all his fights, and often takes close decisions on scorecards. For Vishvanath to take it 5:0 all 3 rounds despire a point deduction working AGAINST him shows you exactly what kind of boxer he is.

I don’t believe Vishvanath is just good. He’s special. A generational talent. A future undisputed champ or Olympic gold medalist on the rise. Now let’s hope he locks in again and brings that gold back to India

Deepak Kumar defeats Uzbekistan #1 ranked Khavasbek Asadullaev on a 3-2 split at the 2026 Asian Boxing Championships

This was a genuinely elite performance and an absolute stunner from Deepak Kumar who’s shown insane development as an athlete. From losing the finals of the national championships to beating one of the bogeymen of his division, what a rise!! The highlights here don’t do the full fight justice, Deepak imo won all 3 rounds with razor precise timing and defense, catching and shooting to catch Asadullaev in the middle of his explosive combos he’s well known for, making good use of his physicality by making it ugly on the inside leaning and denying Khavasbek the ability to send off his short hooks up tight. Brilliant performance and let’s hope he beats Zeyad Eashash next (also a seasoned, experienced opponent who’s a Olympian and holds elite wins)
