I started hearing some strange noise on acceleration. It went on for an until both drivers finally noticed it. Then an additional noise started when the car was just sitting still, we brought the car in to Lexus. They’ve had it for 2 1/2 weeks and now they say it needs a new transmission. This is our third Lexus and we’ve never had a problem. They did mention if this didn’t solve the problem they potentially would have to look at an engine replacement. They have been really cagey about what could be causing all of this. We’ve lost confidence in the car. How likely are we to get the dealer to assist with a buyback? I guess we could trade it in for a different car. I don’t know what to do.
