My grandpa (Vietnam) and an art piece (his daughter) made for an art class
I grew up seeing this painting in my grandparent’s house and was always intrigued by it. Found out what it was of and found it cool, but never really appreciated what it was until later in life.
Didn’t go through half what this man did during my 4 years. (He’s still alive by the way. Served as a firefighter for over 30 years after he got out and is deservedly retired). But I’m proud to have worn the same uniform.
