my baby still wont eat
hi, im back with an update. my rosy still wont eat and im losing hope. it’s been nearly three months at this point (feb. 11th was the last time he ate) my god i dont know what to do. im posting this out of desperation
about an hour ago i tried feeding him a fuzzy dipped in (plain) chicken broth. he seemed VERY interested, but wouldnt eat it. he kept striking and striking and when he finally got it he just gave up and let it go. this is what he does every single time.
im thinking now does he not like the bedding that he’s on??? the last time he ate he was on a mix of topsoil and playsand but i switched to aspen because i didnt think he could burrow in the mix. i dont know. or could he have a respiratory infection,??
he also has some spots on him where his scales look weird. they look raised. i know this can mean that he’s dehydrated and i wouldnt be surprised if he is. i give him fresh water every day except for the days before and after attempting to feed but ive never seen him drink it. and theres this reallt weird spot on his neck i dont know what it is or where the hell it came from. the person i bought him from fed him live and god i wish i could have known that before i got him. i love him so so much and i feel so guilty for that but i wish i could have known and maybe he would have gone to someone better equipped to handle transitioning him to f/t
i want to take him to a vet, but my mom isnt fond of the idea at all. we absolutely have the money to but she doesnt care enough to spend it on my animals. she cant even take my cat to the vet to get checked for arthritis. i dont have money of my own i dont have a job
i love my baby boy so much im so scared that hes going to die and its my fault
this is all over the place im sorry im not in a good state of mind
please help
