I’m in awe

Hello everyone, I just finished watching fellowship of the ring for the first time and I cannot believe how amazing it was. I am just so happy after watching this I just had to come here to join this sub and share my excitement 😭I am someone who loves the medieval fantasy genre in video games, books and basically every medium of entertainment but somehow never read or watched lotr before. Somehow all 24 years of my life I never found it appealing enough to start but I’m so glad I just did.

I hope no one takes offence to this comparison but it’s very rare I’ve been so impacted emotionally by a piece of fiction and the only other I can recall is the manga/anime one piece. I’ve chased the feeling of watching one piece ever since and after all these years this movie gave me just that. I am absolutely in love and I thought I had seen it all but this movie feels like I’ve discovered the fantasy genre all over again.

The movie itself was just mind blowing the quality of the sets the cgi, the sound the acting it was just so amazing.

I am just so happy I gave this a chance and I’m about to start the 2nd movie but just had to share how much this impacted me.
