Has anyone’s ex broken contact after getting married and it not working out? Why do I feel like I’ve read about this, I want to know if it ever happened to anyone here?
My friend will be starting her Internal Medicine residency later this year, and she's dating a PGY-5 General Surgery Resident, planning to do Cardiothoracic Fellowship. Is this combination doable?
We've seen IM residents be with each other, she's just scared about the insane schedule and life for CT surgeons. Plus it's going to be long distance for a year atleast till he finished. She really likes him but she is afraid of the difficult schedule for both. Anyone know any success stories? Or horror stories?

My avoidant ex of 1.5 years who was head over heels in love with me, was about to get engaged with me. We broke up unwillingly and just a few hours before our engagement because he blindsided me and my family. I had been keeping hope for around a year that he’ll realise how we were perfect together and soulmates (our connection was insane on every level). Instead he’s randomly getting married to a girl his mom chose a few months ago. Because that’s more easier apparently than figuring out issues and admitting your mistake.
I kept looking for answers and hope, and now I’m heartbroken. They don’t even feel bad or guilty. He and his family started looking 3 months after our breakup. All those feelings, plans of marrying, just gone in a few months.
