​season 7, episode 9, 6ish mins in

when archer goes on the movie set to greet veronica deane as the new security, she acts like shes never seen him in her life

a-"its nice to see you again miss deane"

v-"im sorry have we met?"

then archer talks abt how she has already hired him as a PI, protected her from crazy clowns, and even kissed atp. but veronica defers to her lawyer, who says her ex husband ellis crane hired him as security and then the conversation shifts to that.

obviously shes into playing lil mind games and just lying...but they have had very public and memorable meet ups several time, i feel like an idiot but ive watched this show like 20 times and never understood this dialogue. is it an ego thing??like to gauge how desperately archer wants her? did she genuinely just not give the littlest shit? what was the purpose do u think?
