WowGo 2S Max truck snapped after only 9 km of riding

This was my first electric longboard in a while, and I had the board for about two hours. It arrived with 17 km already on the odometer, and I only put about 9 km on it myself before this happened.

I was cruising on a flat, paved bike path at around 20 km/h when I went over a tiny 1 inch pavement lip. The rear truck hanger snapped completely in half instantly, and I got flung onto the asphalt and got pretty scratched up.

I’m honestly shocked. A truck shouldn’t break like this under normal riding conditions, especially on the first day of use.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Does this look like a manufacturing defect? I’ve already contacted the company, but I’m curious what others think and what I should do next.
