Surface Pro 6 - Problems with Wifi Adapter after update
Windows 11 updated last night
I lost the ability to use WIFI
Looking in Device Manager, the Wifi Marvell Network adapter no longer appears
Here are the steps I have taken so far:
* Soft reset
* Long reset (held power button for 60 seconds)
* Hard reset (help power button and volume up button at same time for 30 seconds)
* Hard reset in UEFI window and then reset from that screen
* In Device Manager, I used Show Hidden Devices
* In Device Manager, I used Scan for Hardware Changes
* I verified WLAN AutoConfig was running in Services
* I performed a full install of Windows 11 from a USB stick
* I downloaded the latest drivers available from Microsoft for the Pro 6 and installed them
None of these have had any effect. The Device Manage still will not show me the Marvell Adapter and I still have no ability to use Wifi. During the install of Windows 11, it informed me that there was no Wifi Adapter on the machine. I had hoped that loading all the drivers would have fixed that but it did not.
One thing that bothers me is that I looked at the folders that were created from the .msi driver file and I did not see a Marvell folder in that group. It might be buried in some other folder but this has caused me some concern that I am still not downloading the Marvell driver.
If anyone has any suggestions, I will try anything. Thank you
