Hope this is the right sub…

I share a driveway with my neighbors in Chicago. Great folks. ~ 80% of the driveway belongs to us and we have an easement for the neighbors to use the driveway.

We 50% share shoveling, the cost of the snowblower, etc.

The driveway is long, total coverage ~ 1,800sf.

How do we split the cost of the new asphalt? I was thinking I’d pay 60% of the total and they would cover 40%.

Does this seem fair knowing that we split everything else (albeit *much* less than a new driveway) 50/50 or should I cover more of the total?
