FUKUI STADIUM, FUKUI PREFECTURE-  Hayato Sakamoto swings for the fences and absolutely crushes a walk off Three-Run Home Run to sweep Hiroshima and gain his 300th career Home Run!

FUKUI STADIUM - THE ONE OF THE GREATEST GAMES EVER!

FUKUI STADIUM, FUKUI PREFECTURE- A nail-biting game for the ages! Bobby Dalbec clobbered a Solo Home Run early, giving the Giants a 1-0 lead. By the 5th inning, Hiroshima caught up, tying the game 1-1. Then extra innings came. It was intense, with both teams having more than 1 runner on base during the bottom 9th, 10th and 11th innings. In the 10th, Hayato Sakamoto came up, but struck out with the bases loaded. The Carp ended up scoring one more run to make the game 2-1. (Which I mistakenly reported as the final score, sorry 🙇‍♂️). It all came to a head in the bottom of the 12th, with 2 men on base, and 1 out. Hayato Sakamoto swung for the fences, absolutely crushing a walk off Three-Run Home Run to sweep Hiroshima and gain his 300th career Home Run!

Sasaki, who seems to be an offensive machine as of late, demolished a walk off 2-Run Home Run to seal the Giants victory, 5-3.

NAGARAGAWA BASEBALL STADIUM, GIFU PREFECTURE: Tonight's match up between the Hiroshima Carp and Yomiuri Giants was nail-biting to its core! The Giants would score, and the Carp would answer back all the way until the 9th inning where the game was tied 3-3. It was truly a pitching duel. Enter Outfielder Shuunsuke Sasaki. Sasaki, who seems to be an offensive machine as of late, demolished a walk off 2-Run Home Run to seal the Giants victory, 5-3.

TOYKO DOME (2010) - Shinnosuke Abe DEMOLISHES his 40th Career Grand Slam in a game over the Hiroshima Carp. What a great call of this blast!

NAGOYA DOME - After a game against the Chunichi Dragons, the Giants offense came alive. At first there was concern as Shunya Morita gave up two home runs and an RBI. Then Bobby Dalbec came to the plate and destroyed a 2-run Home Run to left field. The Giants took the lead 3-1. By the 5th inning the game was tied. Shunsuke Urata ended up batting 4 in for an impressive 4RBI game. The Giants reclaim 3rd place, winning 9-4.

NAGOYA DOME - During a game between the Yomiuri Giants and Chunichi Dragons, Pitcher Masahiro Tanaka collides with Dragons Infielder Mikiya Tanaka. Both are okay, but the collision ultimatley cost a run on the Giants.

Both are okay, but the collision ultimatley cost a run on the Giants. Outfielder Yoshihiro Maru hit a two run home run to no avail. The Dragons won 5-2. The Giants are now in a slump as they have gone 3W-7L in their past 10 games, now in 4th place with a 17-18 record.

NAGOYA DOME - Yomiuri pitching seems to be on the fritz today, as Forrest Whitley who pitched 13 shutout innings over his last two apperances gave up 5 runs today. His replacement then gave up 4. The offense started coming alive towards the 6th inning as Shuunsuke Sasaki and Bobby Dalbec brought in 2 runs, but ultimatley it was too late. We are now fighting to maintain third place with the Yokohama DeNA Baystars.

TOKYO DOME - After a rough game between the Giants and Swallows, pitcher Kazuyuki Takemaru gave up 5 runs, making his ERA soar to 2.88. There is reason to believe that he will have a better outing next game. Giants lose the game 5-0, and series 2-1.

TOKYO DOME - During the 7th inning stretch of a game between the Yakult Swallows and Yomiuri Giants, the Giants home crowd partook in their daily tradition of singing the Giants team song. The Giants won 3-2. (I think the broadcast laid the song over the stadium noise, though.)
