Update on a 18" Ultimax sub box design

Previous design: https://www.reddit.com/r/diyaudio/comments/1sltowe/help_with_sub_box_design/

Taking some of the feedback, I've adjusted the design a bit:

- Moves the internal bracing back by an inch, so it's not so close up to the ventilation of the back of the sub.

- Remove the internal edge corner bracings.

- Adjust the internal bracing to reach more into the center of the back panel to increase its rigidity in that section. Looking at the image now, I might thicken the tapered tip and make it almost reach the other side. They won't be able to touch because The internal bracing panels need to slide into each other.

- added holes in the large triangle of the internal bracing.

- added small bracing to turn the four side panels from halves into quads. due to them being rectangular in shape, I can cut them all together with not have much wasted material.

- rotated the sub 22.5 degrees off axis so the, t-nuts don't intersect with any of the internal ribs.

- all the internal parts get 1/4" roundovers with a trim router.

Let me know if you guys see anything worth adjusting at this point. I've picked up MDF and will probably start cutting the panels up today or tomorrow. I didn't recalculate the internal volume, but it is probably very close to 6 cubic feet, like the original design.

I can upload the CAD design onto GrabCAD or some other place later if anyone is interested in building it themselves.

Anyone got a link to NX Edit?

official side is a 404 and I can't find it anywhere. Does anybody have a copy? I can download. if you have it, can you throw it on Google Drive or something? So I and other people can find this thing? Just got an NX6000D and it's ridiculous that the software has been abandoned.

Help with Sub box design

Hey guys, I've never built a sub box before and wanted to see if this had any issues that you could see before I start gathering materials and building it.

Dayton Audio UMII18-22 Ultimax II 18"

- 6 Cubic feet, volume accounting for corner ribs and inner structural members, and sub displacement.
- Material would be 3/4" MDF. glued and screwed together. possibly calking on the inside If the internal joints aren't tight.
- I'm going to use metric M6 bolts with T-Nuts 4 pronged on the inside to keep the sub in place.
- SpeakON panel connector on the back. 12 AWG wire.
- ROCKWOOL Safe'n'Sound stuffed on the inside.
