My day job is my worst nightmare as a customer

I work at a flooring retail warehouse as a salesperson, and I honestly really like working there. My job is to welcome people into the store, show them around if they are looking for a specific item, and answer any questions they have about how to install stuff or what the differences of our products are. I'm not on commission so even on the really slow days I don't feel the need to get in anyone's face to make a sale, but I do genuinely enjoy talking to people about their home renovations and what their projects are.

That being said, whenever I go to a store to buy something, it is my absolute highest priority to talk to literally no one. I want to get in and get out as fast as possible. The thought of a friendly sales associate helping me find whatever I'm looking for has me breaking out in hives. Craft stores like Michaels or JoAnns (rip) are the worst places for that reason.

I find it funny that I can be so extroverted and confident in my day job, but I want nothing to do with it as a customer.
