Smarters shows a black screen but I can still hear sound

When I open a channel in Smarters, sometimes I only get audio but the screen stays black.

If I switch channels a few times, it eventually works.
Using it on Android TV.

Is this a setting issue or something with the app?

I am completely new to all of this and trying to understand how it works before I spend any money.

I really want to get rid of my expensive cable bill and try IPTV, but I am so confused about the equipment. When I read forums or watch videos, everyone gives different advice. Some people say I have to buy a really expensive, special set-top box. Others say a basic streaming stick is fine, and some say my regular smart TV is all I need.

I am not very good with technology at all. I haven't bought any subscriptions yet because I don't want to buy the wrong thing and waste my money.

What do I actually need to buy to make this work? I just want a simple setup that I can use with a normal remote control, without needing a degree in computer science to turn on my TV. Any advice for a beginner would be amazing!

I’m getting ready to cut the cord and switch to IPTV, but I have a really basic question about how accounts work.

With Netflix or Hulu, my wife can watch a show in the living room while I watch something else on my iPad in the bedroom. I’ve been reading some horror stories here about people getting their IPTV accounts permanently banned just for opening the app on their phone while the TV was on.

As a beginner, how does this actually work?

  • Are IPTV accounts strictly locked to one single device?
  • What if I want to watch a game on my phone while I’m traveling for work? Will it block me because I'm not on my home WiFi?

I just want to understand the rules before I pay for anything so I don't accidentally get my account banned on day one. Any advice for a newbie? Thanks!

Not sure if it’s just me, but since the last update my channel list feels a bit laggy when scrolling.

Playback is totally fine, streams load fast, but scrolling through big groups stutters more than it used to.
Running it on a Fire Stick 4K Max.

Did something change performance‑wise or am I imagining it?

Maybe I’m just overlooking it, but I’m trying to update the EPG URL in Smarters Pro and I can’t find where to edit it.

I see the playlist info, I see account details, but nothing that clearly lets me change the EPG source manually.
Is this even possible in the app or does it just pull whatever comes with the login?
