Just putting feelers out here and to see who might be interested. I posted this earlier but chickened out as I felt a bit embarrassed
For as long as I can remember, my whole life, I feel like I’ve been very musically-inclined but have never pursued music for whatever reason. I think the big reason is that I’ve never had instrumentalists around me to play with (I only sing and have basic keyboard and guitar skills - willing to learn). I’d love to potentially meet some other musos a similar age (20s) to jam with and perhaps slot into some projects.
I’m massively into anything jazzy and bluesy and typically sound better (to me anyway) on tracks that have that influence; however, love anything acoustic and stripped back, slightly folky and soft rock-ish. For me it’s not about genre but experimenting musically.
This is turning into an essay so I’ll wrap up but if anything I’d love to make some new friends to jam with and talk music because I’ve recently realised how important music is to me and I don’t want to get to the end of my life not tapping into the potential of what my voice could do. I’d love to write stuff but also don’t mind putting spins on pre-existing songs.

I'm a young dude who just copped some cargo shorts and chucked them on today and am in love - who'd have thought! Fellow men, who else is rocking the cargo shorts today or does so a lot? I'm curious to see how many others are because I feel like they've become a bit of a joke in the men's fashion world but I think they're making a comeback.
25M here (secondary) and honestly I'll likely delete this (sorry if you find this unproductive or me just complaining) but school holidays amplifies the loneliness that I even feel during term time. You're in the your room a lot with tthe 32 or so students each period pouring into them - with no other adult in the room - and then socialise with other teachers a bit throughout the day, but ultimately ... I don't feel deeply appreciated or cared about.
Recently, I've been falling out of love with teaching. I love the content I teach, and enjoy working with students, particularly when they're not apathetic and interested, but the copious planning, marking, reporting, admin etc. makes terms so intense and holidays so starkly different. The past week I've needed time to do nothing and recharge but in that time I've realised I've got no friends and now I'm sitting here tonight feeling pretty down about things. Any other guys wanna be friends? 😅

Alrighty so I decided to take advantage of the sun and was lying on the grass at a local park. Two young guys, perhaps 19 or 20 years of age, were kicking the footy nearby. They walked past as they were leaving and one of them said "GG. F in the chat." to me. What on earth does this mean? hahaha
I'm sure someone out there would get this reference.
Anyone else never wear shorts? I'm honestly dreading the coming months. Even with Spring its starting to get warm. I normally get by wearing linen long pants and other breathable trousers but even some days it just feels restrictive. How can I love and appreciate shorts more? Or should I just keep wearing long pants and leave the shorts to those who like them haha
