Stomach Problems

Anyone else pooping like 6-8 times a day?? I feel like I have a constant stomach ache.

I know I haven’t been eating as much as I should, but I’ve been on 30mg Vyvanse alongside 150mg Wellbutrin XL for almost 3 months now and I’ve only dropped a very reasonable 10lbs, so I don’t my eating habits are that drastically bad. It also doesn’t seem to matter much if I eat or not, the stomach ache persists. I often get nauseous at the thought of eating, so I supplement with smoothies and soups.

I don’t consume much caffeine and I only drink alcohol on rare occasions. I do use nicotine, but I have for over a year and this wasn’t a problem for me before I started meds. What could be causing this, and how do I make it stop? Lower dosage? Stop vaping? Less liquid meal substitutes and more real food?

I really don’t want to give up on this medication because it seems to be really helpful mentally, but physically it is kind of destroying me.

Gabapentin Hack: Cookies!!

I have been experimenting with ways to make gabapentin more effective, as I am on 300mg for joint pain and I’ve developed a bit of a tolerance to it. I don’t want to up my dosage, but I do want it to be more effective!

I think I figured it out: Chocolate Chip Cookie and Hot Tea.

Gabapentin is more effective when taken with a fatty meal. I don’t know the exact science behind it but I know it has something to do with absorption. I’ve tried a bunch of different fatty meals and snacks when taking gabapentin, and I’ve had the best results BY FAR when I’ve eaten a nice gooey chocolate chip cookie followed by a nice hot mug of ginger tea. It kicks in quickly and the effects are actually noticeable. It seems to last longer than usual. It’s super convenient.

I have no idea why. Just trust me and test it yourself!
