Mess and Water Situation at NIT Rourkela
The Mess situation at NIT Rourkela Hostels has been pathetic since day 1. Everyday, cases of insects being found in food, stale veggies being cooked and pathetic food quality were faced by us, the students everyday.
Recently, they started using substandard water, to make "Pakhala", "Lemonade" and similar watery stuff in the past few weeks. A number of diarrhea and similar type of cases, like stomach issues, nausea, etc have been reported at the health centre.
Itne complaints, college official group par rant ke baad bhi ye hamari na sunte. The Hostel admins are dumb enough not to listen to our comments. Uske baad jab mess waalon ke kharab paani use karne ke karan bacchon ke sehat bigad rahe, here's there response.
Unke hisaab se, we are responsible for their flaws. They expect us to buy chlorine solution to disinfect water, like then why the hell are we paying them the fees for? How do we eat freshly cooked food, if they provide us with food items that are terribly bullshit? I have my own friends and seniors, having serious health issues, and are throwing up because of the bullshit they serve, and now they come up with this notice? Inme accountability naam ki koi chiz bhi nahi hai.

These are the responses I gathered from my own friends. Ik its hard to believe, but any nit rkl student who has seen these before will understand that these are genuine stuff, so NIT guys back me up in this -

"Mera ulcer bhi usiki wajah se hua, like h pylori bacteria kuchh detect hua which created ulcer...mai last 1.5 yr saal se pura suffer kar rhi hun yahan"
These messages are enough to show the pathetic situation of the mess facilities in our college. I wish to be anonymous, but I request all of you to bring this post up to the masses, so that our problems might be resolved.
