Dead Space Remake still crashes and stutters on RX 9070 XT
I've recently installed the Dead Space Remake and encountered the same stuttering and crashing problems that many other people have encountered since the game's release. Stuttering especially occurs when entering a new area. Crashes just happen every few minutes, without any error messages, it just returns to desktop.
I have the following hardware:
- Ryzen R7 7800X3D CPU
- Radeon RX 9070XT GPU with latest drivers (26.3.1)
- 32GB DDR5 RAM
- Additionally, the game was installed on an SSD drive.
So far, I've tried the following things:
- Turning off "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" in Windows
- Deleting the cache folder located under "Documents/Dead Space (2023)/cache"
- Deleting the profile located under "Documents/Dead Space (2023)/settings/steam/ProfileOptions_Profile"
- Disabling HDR rendering via changing the value "Set GstRender.HDR 1" to "GstRender.HDR 0" in "Documents/Dead Space (2023)/settings/steam/ProfileOptions_Profile"
- Disabling FSR, using TAA instead
- XMP was already turned off
- No overlay software such as Discord or any AMD-related software ran in the background.
- Game files/installation was successfully verified.
While some of these solutions at least reduced the stuttering a bit, they did not help in getting rid of the crashes.
You folks got another idea what might help here? Right now, I'm out of solutions...
Cheers!
