I have recently finished coding a Chrome extension that functions as a CRM for WhatsApp Web.
For context, it is a "stripped-down" version of tools like Cooby; it focuses on productivity features and strictly avoids any bulk messaging or "scammy" automation.
Since I am a solo developer based in India, I am looking for a Merchant of Record (MoR) to handle global payments, taxes, and compliance without needing a registered business entity.
I am currently considering Dodo Payments, but I have seen mixed reviews in recent Reddit threads regarding account stability.
I would love to hear from anyone with experience on the following:
Dodo Payments: Is it reliable for "grey area" tools like this, or is the risk of sudden account freezes too high?
Alternatives: For those in India, how do Paddle or Lemon Squeezy compare for individual developers without a GST registration?
Risk Management: Are there specific MoRs known for being more developer-friendly toward browser extensions that interact with third-party platforms?
