What should I do?

I converted from oil to natural gas a year ago. The plumber finished most of the job but ghosted when he said he was gonna come back with several guys to take out the old boiler, which is, to say the least the heaviest thing I’ve ever tried to even tilt. I’ve been taking apart as much as I can, and I’m just wondering if this will come apart in sections, and how I would go about prying the sections apart, which seem to be joined by some weird thread in the joints, I’m assuming to allow for a little expansion rather than explosion. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

This is my “sunset maple” I planted about 6 years ago. I live in northern NJ zone 7a. It was windy when I grabbed these photos. Not sure if it’s best to let trees just do there thing, but this has that long central spire which is much taller than the rest of the branches and was just wondering if I should prune at all or just let it be. Thanks!
