Finding a loving home for Fanny the cat

Hi there. I am a tourist from Norway staying in Portugal for a little while.

I found this cat badly injured from a probable bite outside my airbnb in Setubal, where no one was helping her and i felt like i just couldnt morally live with myself and accept the cat dying meters from where i was staying. I managed to snatch her, drive her to the vet and pay for treatment there. After a while she was put in a foster home where she is now healing, but unfortunately she has tested positive for FIV which means the chances of adoption is slim as she should be an indoors cat because of the diagnosis. The alternatives for her now are staying in the foster home with a lot of other cats for the rest of her life and not really getting the level of attention and care that i think she should get.

I am therefore making this post to hear it anyone would be interested in adopting her. The vet says she is probably 7-8. She might have been living a tough life outside for a long time - she has few teeth left which might be an indication of that, but i want her to live the remaining years of her life with someone who can give her the care and love she and all other animals deserve. She is also very patient, trusting and good to be around, and friendly towards humans.

I have named her Fanny after my old cat in Norway who had the same colors. I would actually consider taking her home with me but unfortunately Norway has very strict rules in adopting strays from other countries.

I can deliver the cat personally. You are of course open to changing the name if that is of importance to you :)

Hope to hear from any serious inquiries from someone who is interested in actually comitting to caring for her for the rest of her life - DM me if you are that person.

regards, Axel
