My 8 year old Russian blue-ish rescue has picked up a new behavior in the past couple years, and I’ve had him since he was a baby. Particularly on his beds or on my blankets, he grabs the fabric with his teeth and pulls away on the fabric while pushing himself up on the bed with his arms until he rips the fabric with his teeth. He does it during multiple different moods, so not just when he’s hungry, etc. Vets haven’t had any explanations, so wondering if anyone else’s cats have exhibited the same behavior.
