any advice to get my pac more explorative?

hello! i have a pretty young frog, around 7 months i wanna say? i've posted him here before. anyway, i know that it's very normal for them to be completely buried a lot, but every day all day? i'm not quite sure. i keep the terrarium at 80 degrees on the warm side and about 76 on the cool side, with a water dish on the cooler side. the humidity goes from 50-80 during the day as i mist a few times a day. i keep my substrate moist, not enough to drip but enough to hold its shape. my setup and him are both shown above! my frog is a FIERCE eater and never refuses anything. (unless it's a dubia roach... we're still working on that 😅) however, when i do feed him, (around every other day to every two days) i have to dig him up and he never freaks out much, just a little bit of hopping of course but then he chills out right away. i basically *NEVER* see him above ground on his own, and really the only times i do is for a couple hours after feeding and then he digs right back down into the same spot each time, in the back in front of the big piece of cork bark and next to the spider plant. the longest i've went without digging him up was four weeks, with the hopes that he was just acclimating for longer than usual and he'd come up on his own. he did not, but thankfully he was perfectly fine after that and no weight was lost, and he continued eating like usual, if not more.

anyhow, my point is—are there any ways to get him up more often? not necessarily explorative because i know how they are, very sedentary, but i never even see his eyes above ground. 😓 advice would be much appreciated! thank you :- )

new crib for meatlug 🙂‍↕️

managed to snag a front opening terrarium for THIRTY TWO dollars and i've been wanting to redo his tank so i took the opportunity to do so

i don't have much for plants yet, other than a spiderplant from my local reptile store and a pothos cutting i had sitting around in a jar w/ water in it lol

plant advice

i recently redid my pacman's terrarium along with getting a new terrarium as a whole. i purchased a spider plant from my local reptile store for the corner of the tank and put it in (with the pot! it's not directly in the substrate) but i'm seeing stuff about them not doing good in this kind of environment? i keep the tank at around 78-80 during the day and the humidity around 60-80. should i be worried about soil leaching into his substrate? i just want this tank to thrive, spider plant and all because i REALLY like where it is and how it looks in the tank. i have a grow light above the tank, it's a double-heaaded one so i have one light over the little pothos cutting i had sitting around and one over the spider plant.
